Awarded the diploma of the State award of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of the award “The Best Illustrator of Year”, laureate of the award “Golden Folio” in nomination “The best master” of the National competition “Book Art 2008″

Valery Slauk was born in 1947. Belarusian illustrator. Valery Petrovich was born in Vitebsk region. In 1977 he graduated from Belarusian State theatrical and art institute. The well-known artist Vasily Sharangovich was the teacher for Valery Petrovich.

Valery Slauk works mainly in the field of book graphics. Works of the artist are exhibited in the National Art Museum, funds of Belarusian Union of Artists, in private collections, museums of Austria, Italy, Germany.

Belarusian and Slavic mythology became one of the main subjects in works of the artist.

About illustrator
